Welcome to NHBOW

Becoming An Outdoors-Woman is a workshop focused on the learning of outdoor skills - skills usually associated with hunting and fishing, but useful for many outdoor pursuits. Designed primarily for women, it is an opportunity for anyone 18 years of age or older, and is for you if: you have never tried these activities and want the opportunity to learn; you are a beginner looking to improve your skills; you are familiar with some outdoor activities, but would like to try your hand at new challenges; you are looking for the camaraderie of like-minded individuals.

News and Notices

Attention past participants! Please take the National BOW Survey. Dr. Ann Herda-Rapp (Univ. of Wisconsin) and Dr. Joy James (Appalachian State Univ.) are conducting a survey of BOW participants to better understand how the program affects women, their lives and their relationships with the out-of-doors.

The survey should take 10-15 minutes to complete and will be available at this link until December 10: https://uwex.co1.qualtrics.com/SE/?SID=SV_43pSJhbAxNJqWTr. Feel free to share the link with any woman who has ever participated in BOW.  Thanks for taking the survey!

We appreciate your interest in NH BOW!

We are pleased that so many women want to attend BOW events in New Hampshire. The number of spaces available is limited by staffing and funding. We are committed to making the application process as fair as possible. Registration forms are posted on the website on the day registration opens. Registrations are only accepted by postal mail

For Fall BOW, registrations are numbered as they are received, but we also take into consideration: first-time participants, as well as repeat participants who bring a new person with them, get the highest priority. For Beyond BOW events, all participants are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

Our programs fill up fast, so please register early.  We hope to see you at a future program!
