About Becoming an Outdoors Woman

A Short History

Welcome to NH BOWBecoming an Outdoors Woman began as a course at the University of Wisconsin looking into the reasons more women don't participate in many outdoors activities, such as hunting and fishing. It was determined that women preferred to learn these skills in a non-competitive atmosphere along with other women. Professor Christine Thomas ran a workshop the following year that quickly filled to capacity. More than double the number accepted were interested in attending.
