Sandy Point Discovery CenterSandy Point Discovery Center was constructed in 1993, on the shores of Great Bay. Located in Stratham, it serves as the conservation-education headquarters for the Great Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve. A trail and boardwalk loop give visitors access to the varying ecologies of the area including hardwood forests, freshwater wetlands, salt marsh and mudflats.  The Discovery center building houses exhibits about the Great Bay Estuary for both children and adults, including a touch tank.

Directions
The Sandy Point Discovery Center is located at the end of Depot Road on the town line between Stratham and Greenland, New Hampshire (west of Portsmouth, NH). Brown signs on Route 33 (formerly Rte. 101) in Stratham direct you to the Center.

From Exit 3B off Interstate Route 95, the Depot Road turn is 5 miles west on Rte. 33. From Exeter, Depot Road is 4 miles east on Rte. 33.

Hours
Sandy Point Discovery Center is open to the public Wednesday through Sunday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., May 1 through September 30, and weekends only in October. The Grounds are open daylight hours throughout the year.
